Who this is for

Serious adult beginners.

If you are an adult drawn to acting and ready for a proper first encounter with the craft, this is for you. No experience is required, and none is expected. If you have acted before but never built a real foundation, this is where the real work begins.

What to expect

Two and a half hours of real work.

Simple exercises open up your imagination and attention. Then you move into detailed scene work in pairs, with direct, honest feedback from Verónica. You play a scene, you hear exactly what is and isn't working, and you play it again. Most people are struck by how much changes in that second attempt.

That moment, seeing a scene transform in front of you, is when acting stops being something you show and becomes something you truly do. If you have never acted, you discover what the craft really is. If you have acted for years, you see why your strongest moments worked when they worked. Either way, you leave changed as an actor, not just informed about acting.

A craft you can begin to build, and the clarity to know whether you want to.

Questions

: This is exactly who Discovery is for. No background, no training, nothing to prepare. You'll learn from the ground up, alongside other adults starting at the same point.
: You'll mostly work in pairs, not solo in front of the group. It's guided practice with a partner and direct feedback from Verónica, not a performance for an audience.
: Nothing. The Discovery is a standalone experience. If you want to continue into The Foundation afterward, you're welcome to apply, but there's no pressure and no follow-up commitment.
: Yes. All teaching, exercises, and instructions are conducted fully in English.
: Let us know at least 48 hours before the workshop and we'll move your spot to the next available Discovery date at no extra cost. Cancellations with less notice, or no-shows, are non-refundable and non-transferable.
: If we need to cancel or reschedule for any reason, you'll be offered a full refund or a spot in the next available Discovery, whichever you prefer.
: We may take photos or short video during the session for Monnarc's website and social media. If you'd prefer not to be photographed, just let Verónica know before we start and we'll make sure you're kept out of frame.
: The Discovery is built around a specific way of working: pursuing clear, justified actions so that truthful behaviour follows. If you’ve acted mostly on instinct, this is where instinct becomes something you can understand and rely on. Many experienced actors say it reframed things they’d been doing for years without quite knowing how.
: The Discovery is the starting point at Monnarc, but not necessarily your starting point as an actor. It’s the session where you experience how we work and decide whether to go further into The Foundation. For someone with experience, it’s less “learning to act” and more “seeing the craft from a new angle.”
: Then you’ll have found that out in a single session, with a full refund within 48 hours if it isn’t right for you. Either way you leave with a clearer sense of what acting asks of you.
: It isn’t a fixed-level beginners’ class. The scene work goes as deep as you can take it, and experienced actors often say the value was finally seeing why their strongest moments worked, and being able to repeat it on purpose.
: Some will be new, and others have performed for years and come to sharpen the craft. What everyone shares is not a level of experience, but the willingness to grow.
